About the Frankfurt Airport

The Frankfurt airport, also called Airport Frankfurt am Main, is by far the busiest commercial airport in Germany and the 9th busiest in the world. It is run and operated by the Fraport AG, has 2 passenger terminals and lies around 12,5 kilometers of the Frankfurt City Centre. The Lufthansa operates exclusively another smaller terminal, called the Lufthansa First Class terminal. 106 airlines fly from the airport, the largest part of the commercial air traffic is handled by Lufthansa and Star Alliance.
